Israeli Soldiers Abduct Three Women While Leaving Al-Aqsa Mosque

Israeli soldiers abducted, on Tuesday afternoon, three Palestinian women while leaving the Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Gate of the Tribes, in occupied East Jerusalem.
Media sources said the soldiers abducted Samah Mahameed, Islam Manasra and a woman from Da’our family.
They added that the soldiers took the three abducted women to a nearby police base.
Dr. Hanan Ashrawi, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) warned that the escalating Israeli violations against the holy sites, including the closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque gates a day earlier, in addition to the frequent invasions into Al-Aqsa, and the latest assaults and abductions of many worshipers, including women, would only lead to further tension.
Dr. Ashrawi added that the Israeli escalations against the Palestinians, and the holy sites in occupied Jerusalem, are the direct outcome of America’s complicity, “especially the illegal and immoral recognition of Jerusalem as the unified capital of Israel, and the opening of the U.S. Embassy to the city.
“All of this is dragging the area into serious escalation,” she stated, “Israel and the ongoing U.S. support to its violations are dragging the region into a religious war.”
Dr. Ashrawi also denounced the illegal takeover of a Palestinian home, owned by members of Abu Assab family, who were forcibly removed from their property, in addition to being repeatedly assaulted.
“Israel is ongoing with its illegal polices of ethnic cleansing and displacement of the indigenous Palestinian people from their occupied city,” she stated, “It is also isolating them and destroying their homes, to replace them with illegal colonialist settlers.”

Is someone in Brattleboro trying to abduct children?

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (WCAX) Is someone in Brattleboro trying to abduct children? Police say two suspicious incidents in the last month should be a warning to kids and their parents.
It's a quiet neighborhood just outside of downtown Brattleboro. But, according to police, someone may be targeting young kids here. Last week, police say a woman tried to get an 8-year-old boy into her car as he walked home from the bus stop.
"Told him basically to get in the car. When the child refused, she became a little more forceful. The child basically became scared and ran away," said Brattleboro Police Lt. Robert Perkins.
"I'm very shocked that this is happening in my neighborhood. I've been here most of my life and I feel like it is a pretty safe neighborhood," said Desiree Doell, a mother of three children under the age of 12. "I guess, at the same time, we have to be aware at all times, because you never know when something like this can happen, and usually that's when you are caught off guard -- when you are not prepared."
Police say a similar incident happened last month. That time an 11-year-old was targeted by a middle-aged woman matching the same description -- blonde hair and driving a light-colored car.
Police say the bus company and area schools have been notified. "Don't deviate from any plans that your parents set in place. If you have a child that walks home, be aware of the routes that the child takes," Lt. Perkins said.
Police also say basic rules should apply. They include walking with a buddy and never getting into a car with a stranger.
Doell's kids don't take the bus, but she say she does try to talk to them about the dangers that exists outside home. "I talk to them when I feel it's age appropriate, but I guess at this point with something like that, I need to sit down with all three of them and reiterate the importance of strangers, and when people approach you, what the right protocol would be," she said.
Police are continuing two investigate the two incidents and whether they are connected. In the meantime, anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Detective superintendent Tony Fleming told reporters police were confident they had arrested the correct man, 9 News reported.
'It is an example of a collective effort of police working with the community to actually address something that evidently causes us a lot of concern,' he said.
'Naturally, something like this is a lot to take in. I'm told her family has rallied around behind her, but this will be a journey for her.'
After the alleged attack, the young girl was able to run to a friend's house.
'When she got to my house she was shaking really bad. I cannot imagine the fear she was feeling at the time,' her friend's older sister, Lina Asiata, told The Courier Mail.
'She was absolutely scared, the fear she had in her eyes was just the saddest thing I have ever witnessed in my life.'
Watterson has been charged with taking a child for an immoral purpose, indecent treatment of a child and assault occasioning bodily harm.
He will appear in court at a later date.
