Packers WR Geronimo Allison gets life advice from comedian Steve Harvey on talk show
© Provided by USA Today Sports Media Group LLC Geronimo Allison mentioned that he played for the Green Bay Packers, but the wide receiver was looking for relationship advice to which everyone can relate when he appeared Wednesday in the audience on "Steve," a talk show hosted by comedian Steve Harvey.
During a question-and-answer session known as "Hey Steve," Allison introduced himself and his girlfriend, Yvette Riley, and then asked Steve for advice on balancing life with his childhood friends and Riley.
"I'm struggling trying to maintain balancing her and keeping her happy, spending time, taking vacations ... but also spending time with my guys, hanging out," Allison said. "There's a lot of temptations. We love to hang out, do guy things and stuff. I don't want to lose my boys, because I grew up with them from Day 1. Any type of advice you can give me to maintain my relationship, because I don't want to lose her either, and maintain my boys, because they're my guys too."

Harvey, who's become nationally known largely for his work as the host of "Family Feud," offered his feedback.
"The hood holds us with the hood, with the phrase 'keep it real,'" Harvey said. "But your objective is not to keep it real, it's to keep it moving. You've moved to a new level. Your real friends are going to stay your real friends. The ones that ain't your real friends, you're going to lose 'em. Every time you level up, you're going to shed something. But in order to level up, it's necessary to shed."
Allison played in only five games in 2018 before being placed on injured reserve, with 20 receptions for 303 yards and two touchdowns. He'll enter his fourth season with the Packers in 2019.

'West Wing' pals Martin Sheen, Allison Janney visit Dule Hill at his play
Feb. 19 (UPI) -- The West Wing alums Martin Sheen, Allison Janney and Dulé Hill had a mini reunion in Los Angeles.
Sheen and Janney, who played President Josiah Bartlet and press secretary C.J. Cregg on the NBC series, supported Hill at his play Monday on Presidents' Day.
Hill shared a pair of photos on Instagram with Sheen and Janney backstage. The actor portrayed Charlie Young, Bartlet's personal aide, on The West Wing.
"The President & the Press Secretary came to see Mr. Cole on stage... #WhatsNext? #MartinSheen #AllisonJanney #LightsOutGP #LinkInBio #NatKingCole #WestWing #lathr #NatsGuests #GeffenPlayHouse #PresidentsDay #Family," he wrote.
Janney also posted a picture with Hill, the actor's wife, actress Jazmyn Simon, and Kevin Gessay. She encouraged fans to see Hill in the play Lights Out: Nat "King" Cole.
"Unforgettable performance by @dulehill in #lightsoutgp #natkingcole Go see this play! @jazmynsimon @kgessay," the actress wrote.
The West Wing had a seven-season run from 1999 to 2006. Series creator Aaron Sorkin said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in November 2017 that he's considered rebooting the show. He suggested casting This is Us star Sterling K. Brown, with Sheen to reprise Bartlet in a guest role.
"Sterling K. Brown as the president, and there's some kind of jam, an emergency, a very delicate situation involving the threat of war or something, and Bartlet, long since retired, is consulted in the way that Bill Clinton used to consult with [Richard] Nixon," the producer said.
Sorkin is also known for creating the HBO series The Newsroom. He shut down rumors of a possible reboot during Monday's episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Sheen now plays Robert Hanson in the Netflix series Grace & Frankie, while Janney stars on the CBS series Mom. Hill portrays Alex Williams in the USA Network legal drama Suits.

A former Royal Navy helicopter pilot has been found guilty of stalking his ex-partner for a third time.
Kim Allison used anonymous servers in Russia and Asia to cover his tracks, Exeter Crown Court heard.
The 64-year-old, of Wellbeck Road, Yeovil, denied stalking and three counts of breaching a restraining order but was found guilty by a jury.
Allison, who has previously been jailed twice for stalking the same victim, is expected to be sentenced next month.
He was cleared of a fourth breach of the restraining order.
In 2016, Allison had a five-month relationship with businesswoman Nancy Galloway, 63, and stalked her after they broke up, the court heard.
He sent her anonymous messages and cards, spied on her bridge club in Torquay, enrolled her on a dating website and put her house on the market with an online estate agency.

Both times Allison was released from previous sentences for stalking Ms Galloway, he resumed his harassment within minutes, the court heard.
On one occasion, he used his phone on the bus which took him home to Somerset after his release, jurors were told.
When Ms Galloway ended the relationship, he retaliated by setting up an account on a porn website under the name of NancyGal.
He used it to post a photo of her face which he doctored by superimposing a penis on it, the court heard.
The latest cyber attacks started after he was released from Exeter Prison in January 2018 and was subject to a restraining order.
But the court heard Allison sent anonymous texts and e-mail messages and posted a poem online entitled Farewell to Nancy.
Judge David Evans remanded Allison in custody before sentencing, ordered a psychiatric assessment and told him: "You have been found guilty on evidence that many will think was as plain as day.
"I am sure you will appreciate there must be a significant term of immediate custody," the judge added.
The psychiatric assessment is expected to take a minimum of three weeks, after which Allison will be sentenced.
