Ashlee Simpson Reveals Whether Jessica Is ‘Ready’ for Her Third Child to Arrive

It’s almost time! Jessica Simpson is nearing the end of her third pregnancy and her sister, Ashlee Simpson, told Us Weekly exclusively that she is “ready” to give birth.

“She’s doing great,” the Ashlee and Evan star, 34, said at the Hollywood Beauty Awards on Sunday, February 17. “Almost there. That ending, you’re like, ‘Okay, I’m ready.’”

Jessica and her husband, Eric Johnson, announced in September 2018 that their third child, a baby girl, is on the way. The couple already share Maxwell, 6, and Ace, 5. The sister and brother were featured in the pregnancy announcement, standing amid pink balloons.

“This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” Jessica captioned the post. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”

Ashlee opened up about her sister’s pregnancy earlier this month, commending Jessica, 38, for being honest about her tough third trimester. “I’m so proud of her for being open,” the reality star told Us Weekly exclusively. “It’s not always easy, so I think being open about that is great. She’s tough. We’re talking about Jessica.”

The Dukes of Hazard actress has experienced everything from sciatica pain and severe acid reflux to bronchitis and swollen feet over the course of her pregnancy. She even leaned back too far on the toilet and snapped the seat right off!

“Warning… Don’t lean back on the toilet when pregnant,” she captioned a hilarious Tuesday, February 12, Instagram post. In the shot, the two-time mom held the seat up over her baby bump.

A week prior, the “These Boots Are Made for Walking” singer posted a pic of her son and daughter hugging in their school uniforms. “The one thing that gets me through this pregnancy is knowing I will get another one of these cuties,” the two-time mom, who is in her third trimester, admitted.

They are full-time parents of two. 

But Ashlee Simpson and husband Evan Ross were able to enjoy a night to themselves on Sunday, when they attended the Hollywood Beauty Awards.

Ashlee dazzled in a black,sequin dress complete with '80s-inspired shoulder pads.

Ashlee accessorized with a pair of large chandelier earrings and rings. 

The beautiful blonde wore her hair pulled back in a tight, low bun. For make-up, the Waco, Texas native went ultra-glam with a silver and black smokey eye and a pale pink lip.

Evan Ross, 30, wore a black T-shirt and  a tailored brown suit.

Evan and Ashley are parents to daughter Jagger Snow, three. 

Ashlee also has son Bronx, 10, whom she shares with ex-husband Pete Wentz. 

The former couple were married from 2008 until 2011, while Ashley and Evan married in 2014.
