Actress Chloe Grace Moretz got her start in horror films and has graced the screen in an array of films in the genre since, so it comes as no surprise that she had a great trick to break the tension on the set of her new thriller, "Greta."

The actress plays a young woman who befriends a widow with a dark secret after finding her purse on a New York City subway, but Moretz said on "GMA" that she and co-star Isabelle Huppert found a fun way to keep things light between takes.

"I think it's always important for me to try to break the scene and laugh as much as possible," Moretz said.

Without giving anything away, the actress said, "There is an appendage lost during filming, and we found it very funny to hide it in areas and put it in food and put it in coffee cups."

Moretz, who was just 5-years-old when she was in "Amityville Horror," told "GMA" she didn't see the full movie until she was older.

"My mom was strict on me not being allowed to watch that, so we would fast forward through the scary parts," Moretz said. She watched her own parts, "But all the really gnarly stuff that happened, I didn't get to see till I was older."

The young actress recently celebrated her 22nd birthday with an early 2000s themed bash and mirrored her look after an "iconic" pop-star.

"I dressed up like Britney Spears in a denim-on-denim dress, which was absolutely ridiculous," she said. "Late '90s, early 2000s was such an iconic period for a lot of crazy fashion looks."

"Greta" hits theaters on Feb. 28.

Britney Spears' father 'getting stronger' amid illness, singer plans to return to work once he's clear

Britney Spears will definitely be back in the spotlight soon, as her father, Jamie Spears, is "getting stronger every day" and "doing much better" after suffering from a life-threatening illness.

A source tells ET that "Britney loves her career and her fans, so the decision to step away from her career wasn't easy, but she just wanted to be there for her dad, as he's always been there for her.”

"She feels she owes him her life because he was there for her during her darkest hours," the source continues. "She is doing really well despite the circumstances and definitely plans to return to performing once she knows her father is in the clear. He still has a lot of recovering to do but really is doing much better.”

About three months ago, the singer's father was rushed to the hospital when his colon ruptured, and is still in recovery. According to a release, Jamie spent the next 28 days in the hospital, and the family credits the doctors and nurses for saving his life. However, last month, the pop star announced that she would be taking an indefinite work hiatus, postponing her album and putting her new Las Vegas Britney: Domination show at Park Theater at the Park MGM resort in Las Vegas on hold until further notice. The residency was previously scheduled to kick off on Feb. 12.

"The time away has been good for her.  She is doing well and her father gets stronger every day," the source details. "This health crisis and break from her career has only brought their family even closer together."

The time away from work is also allowing Spears to spend more time with her two boys: Sean, 13, Jayden, 12.

"Over the last two years, she has spent any moment not working with her boys and they are thriving both academically and socially. For the most part, she has kept them out of the limelight and they are great, well-adjusted kids," the source shares. "She is a homebody these days. She has a very tight-knit circle of friends and doesn't go out and socialize very much.”

Additionally, Spears has been able to count on her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, during this tough time.

“Her boyfriend, Sam, has been there for Britney and her family through this difficult time. After what Britney has been through in her past relationships, it's taken the family a great deal of time to trust any man, and the family has really taken to Sam," the source says, adding, "Britney will never regret taking this time off to focus on her father and her family and she's looking forward to returning to the stage and doing what she loves most.”

Jamie Lynn Spears' baby daddy got arrested for drug possession after police say they found him out cold behind the wheel of a vehicle. 

Cops in Mississippi busted Casey Aldridge last week, and according to the arrest report, obtained by TMZ, he had several different prescriptions pills on him.

Officers were responding to a call for a suspicious vehicle parked alongside a road in Natchez, MS. Police say they found Casey passed out in the driver's seat and transported him to a local hospital.

Once he came to, he got the bad news ... you're getting arrested.

We're told Casey was booked for possession of Oxycodone, lorazepam, Xanax and drug paraphernalia. 

Casey and Britney Spears' younger sister have one daughter together ... 10-year-old Maddie.

Jamie Lynn was 16 when she got pregnant back in 2007, and Casey was 18. They got engaged but eventually broke off their engagement.
