Selfies. There’s nothing more vain and stupid on the planet. Regardless, Hammacher Schlemmer thinks you want a selfie on every slice of toast that you make, so they are selling the Selfie Toaster. Sadly, I’m sure there are many pairs of duck-lips out there who think this is an good idea.

The toaster uses custom heating inserts made from a user-submitted photograph. I guess this is the one time it is okay to be called a “butter face.” Anyway, you are going to spread some jam on it and cover your face up, so what’s the point?

Blind Pug's Peanut Butter Face Will Melt Your Heart

Get ready for your daily dose of "that's-so-cute" and "that's-so-sad," all at once. Meet Dakota, a 9-year-old blind pug currently living with a foster family near Philadelphia. The short story? He's in need of a new forever family.

Oh, and he loves peanut butter. He REALLY loves peanut butter.

The New Jersey-based Short Noses Only Rescue Team (SNORT), which fosters adoptable animals in homes throughout the East Coast, shared an adorable photo of Dakota fresh off a peanut butter binge on Tuesday.

Here's what the group told Patch about Dakota's back story:

"Dakota arrived at SNORT when his previous family welcomed a new baby into the family, leaving little time to devote to Dakota. He needs a little extra time devoted to him because he suffers from epilepsy that was not previously well controlled. Since coming to SNORT, though, he has been put on proper medications and the seizures have been limited to one to two times a month. He's almost completely blind. But once Dakota gets comfortable in a new space, he doesn't let his blindness stop him."

SNORT adds on their website:

"Like most pugs, he loves following his people around, especially when there's food involved! He adores a good butt rub, naps with his humans and some quality bone-chewing time. Dakota is great with both kids and other dogs; he is very passive and calm which makes him the perfect addition to a home with kids or other dogs."

"Dakota's ideal home would have someone home with him all day to keep an eye on him in case he has a seizure; imagine how horrible it would be if he suffered one all by his lonesome? He'd also be a great work buddy once he gets comfortable with his human's work environment. His cuteness might cause a decrease in productivity but it would be impossible to be upset about that with his adorable face staring up at you."
