account in Hotmail : Can you block an email address on Hotmail?

Hotmail was replaced by Outlook in 2013, offering a refreshed interface and additional options for managing email. Microsoft Outlook and its rival Google Gmail are just two of the free email platforms helping to connect the world. But with an increasing number of people using email can have its downside: unsolicited and unwelcome emails.
The majority of email is welcome but some is spam.
And a minority of emails are neither junk nor welcome.
These include newsletters you do not remember registering with and that sender who all-too frequently forwards emails.
Fortunately these emails can easily be blocked to avoid such messages in the future.

How to block an email address in Outlook:
Outlook email users can set up a rule that automatically deletes all messages from a sender.
This also has the effect of removing all current messages from the same sender.
Brain by open a message from the sender you want to block.
Then click Sweep in the Outlook Mail toolbar.

Next you will have to verify Delete All Messages From Inbox Folder and Any Future Messages is selected on the pop-up sheet.
Then click Sweep then OK.
Outlook.com will move all messages from the address or addresses in the current folder.
However the same cannot be said of emails in other folders, for example an Archive Folder.
Messages from senders on your blocked senders list will, from now on, be trashed without notice.
Neither you nor the sender will be notified, and the messages will not appear in your Deleted or Junk folders.

Outlook can also move all messages from a email domain to the Trash.
Begin by clicking the settings gear icon in Outlook on the web.
The click on Block or Allow in the left-hand pane under Accounts.
Enter the domain you want to block into the Blocked domains section.
For example, if you're receiving unwanted mail from someone at ABC Company, and the domain name on the message is reach.com, then you can enter reach.com into that text box.
Then lick Add and then select Save to add the email domain to your blocked list.
